I guess this one is down to Photobucket, which is where I had the photo saved that I used for my background image here. Photobucket has apparently gotten rid of all my pictures between this morning and this afternoon, with no warning to me. When I log in, it still shows them all, but if I try to click on a particular picture, either it doesn't load at all or I get a message saying I have a bad link. :( So now I have to settle for some generic theme that doesn't make me happy when I look at it. I loved that background I had. It didn't work well on every screen size and such, but the image made me happy. My journal title really doesn't match this theme at all, but I'm too bummed right now to come up with some new title that matches so I'm just keeping the old one for the time being.

I'm sure I'll get over it. But I liked having my happy place here and it's going to take a little while to find a generic theme that gives me that.

At some point, maybe this weekend, I'll have time and energy to play around with it and make it something I like again. For now I'll just deal with it.

It was just a little thing, but it hit me wrong at the time. I'll stop resenting it eventually.

Photobucket is a pain to deal with. It's slow to load, slow to make any edits, and prone to suddenly freezing, going away completely during the middle of trying to do something.

I had to use it the other day because my paid LJ account is up and my scrapbook is already full. *shakes head* I wouldn't bother with PB at all if a lot of my earlier pics I've posted are on that account.

I haven't used photobucket in a couple of years at least, since it's easier to use scrapbook than host pics on an outside site. But I still have a ton of pictures over there that I'd like to continue having access to, so it's disturbing that I couldn't access any of them.

So sorry you had this technology trauma to deal with. I hate it when I go to do something that's supposed to make me feel better, and the technology snafus make me feel so much more frustrated. I hope things since then have been better.

Luckily, I guess, I've had other things to think about this week, so my livejournal background has been knocked well down on the list of things to be stressed about.

Oh, I'm sorry. I liked the photo you had as your background and remember the walk at Promised Land when you took it. I suspect I probably have lost a lot of photos, too, if photobucket is doing a mass purge, because I did use to store a lot of photos there.

It might be that my photos just got lost, or who knows. I'll have to go back once I have time to fiddle and see if I can figure out what went wrong.
