The cats are off to the vet's office. They may never forgive me for putting them in their crates and abandoning them. [livejournal.com profile] lyda_pearl may never forgive me either, after spending an hour in the car with two yowling cats, each way. Tookie does not travel well, and I think Thor has decided he doesn't want to travel well, either.

I owe Lyda Pearl a bit more than a nickel for this one.

Was this vet's visit a checkup or for anything specific? Hope they're ok?!

Whatever happened to "Charlie"?
=D

It was just a general maintenance check-up, getting rabies shots and the like. They both did well, but the vet said Thor is a bit dehydrated, so that's something to keep an eye on.

Charlie took off after one night with us, and we haven't seen him around since then.

Those kitties expressed their displeasure in the car on the way to the Vet and for an hour and a half waiting for their turn. Thankfully, they were quiet on the drive home! They seem to be in good health.

Charlie has wandered on his way. He cried pitiously to be let out and I gave in hoping he lives nearby. No one ever called.

Poor kitties! My Lunabelle wails all the way to the vet's - all of a five minute drive! - and is just furious with me for a full 24-hrs afterwards, even if it's just for the yearly like we did a couple of weeks ago. It's worth it, though, especially when kitty gets a clean bill of health and worries are cleared up. Glad your kitties survived the trip and that, hopefully, it's over for the year. ;-)

So Charlie is now - ahem - lost? ;-)

Glad to hear that the felines received a clean bill of health. I hope Thor gets rehydrated with no difficulty. My pal and office-mate has to give her Yeti diluted kitten-milk to get him to drink anything. He's so spoiled! Of course, he was ragged and near death from starvation/dehydration when her hubby found him in the woods and brought him home, so he is entitled to whatever spoiling he gets. :)

Missy isn't fond of car travel either - she doesn't holler, she whimpers the whole way, but she does seem to get over it as soon as she gets home, so that is good.
