auntiemeesh: (happy face - peacerose)

D'oh!

It's 'work on portfolio' day, here at CHCC, so here I am, at the computer, in a quiet, deserted room. All peaceful and non-distracting, so that I can get lots done. Except. My iPod ran out of juice on the way in to work this morning, and I've got no music. This is a Bad Thing. Without the minor 'I can tune it out' distraction of music, it is much, much harder to not be distracted by everything else. It's gonna be a long morning.

Eta: Oh yeah, I've definitely reached the painful stage of revisions. Every word and phrase on the paper is pulled out of my reluctant brain much in the way a tooth is extracted, by brute force. It's much like writing a paper for school, only instead of getting a nice happy A for all my hard work, I'm most likely going to get a second round of revisions to do. Le sigh.

Yuck! I hope the revisions are now going better than you expected so that you don't have to spend too much time working on them!

Eh, I got a certain amount of work done. I still have, I think, 13 or 14 criteria that need thinky revisions, as opposed to the easy 'add a couple photos here' type that the rest were. I brought the whole thing home with me, with the optimistic idea that sometime between now and Monday morning, I might actually look at the damn thing.

Those thinky revisions, they're the worst! That's why it took me nearly four months to get CW2 back under review (well, the thinky part + the procrastination part ... but they're related, ya know.)
