(no subject)

What I accomplished this weekend:

- ran two loads of laundry through the washer and dryer (bigger accomplishment than it sounds because it involved getting my elderly, nearly invalid and mostly deaf landlady/upstairs neighbor to come downstairs and unlock her screen door so I could get into the basement).

- folded that laundry plus the one and a half loads left over from last week

(- the big accomplishment will be if I manage to get it all put away before I use it and throw it into the dirty pile again.)

- went grocery shopping

- got a Camden County Library System application into the mail (it seems a bit backwards, having the interview and then submitting the application)

What I still need to do before bed (Procrastination is the name of the game):

- clean out the litter box

- put fresh sheets on the bed

I seem to have lost my watch somewhere along the line today. Possibly at the bus stop after getting groceries. I know I had it there because I looked at it to see how long until the bus would come. But when I went to empty my pockets for laundry purposes, it wasn't there anymore (the strap broke a year or two ago and it's been living in my pockets ever since). I suppose this would be the ideal time to buy a new watch, except I hate buying watches. I can never seem to find a decent one (not surprising considering I'm doing most of my shopping at Rite Aid and CVS). It's possible, of course, that it will turn up in some random place when I least expect it, however, so I'll probably hold out a little while longer.

I bought my watch at Rite Aid about ten years ago, and it's still doing great.

I think it's just me, really. No form of technology stays functional for very long around me. Watches die, computers freeze up, vcrs refuse to record. For someone who loves the tech as much as I do, it sure doesn't love me back. :)

Not just you. I wear out at least one watch per year (and then go buy another $10 or less one at Wal-Mart.)

will the one from Manise serve in the interim?

Hm, possibly. I have to admit, the necklace broke the first time I wore it, so I put it away and kind of forgot that I had it. :( If the battery is still good, it would work in much the same way the old one did, living in my pocket. But it might just be time to go ahead and get a new watch that I could actually wear on my wrist.

Sounds like a busy weekend. Hope you found some time for fun!

It was a very lazy weekend. I don't know that there was all that much fun involved, but it was definitely lazy.
