auntiemeesh: (fifth doctor)

(no subject)

So, apparently, I'm having fandom dreams this week. The Doctor Who one I can at least sort of understand. I had a whole night of time traveling dreams and one of them involved the Fifth Doctor and some regeneration of Romana attempting to undo/prevent giant killer stag beetles/scorpions from destroying humanity. Okay, I've listened to several Fifth Doctor audios in the past month, one of which was The Mutant Phase with bugs involved in pretty much destroying humanity. (The other dream that night was a bit more random - me sending myself a note back in time in order to prevent wolves from destroying humanity.)

Last night's dream, however, was very Lord of the Rings. Frodo was being whiny and secretive, Merry and Pippin were being, well, Merry and Pippin. Aragorn was all brave and stern, etc. And they were all climbing this endless sets of stairs in this apparently VERY tall building while being chased by a horde of orcs. Since I haven't watched/read anything in the LotR fandom in a good long while, I have no idea where this came from.

I'm just waiting for the Sherlock dreams to start, now, since I've recently watched/rewatched series 1 and 2 of the new version, I'm slowly making my way through the Jeremy Brett version and I'm also steadily devouring all of the original Conan Doyle stories. At some point in high school we read "Hound of the Baskervilles" and it was too creepy for me at the time, so I was totally put off Conan Doyle for a long while. Of course, I'm in the middle of rereading it now and enjoying it a great deal.

At the Dream Store, of course. :)

I do usually enjoy my dreams, when I remember them. :)

I am always amazed at your dreams. I did have one the other day that I think was about going to a ball game and I woke up and emailed the person who is getting tickets for a group of us from church to go to the Phillies. Otherwise I hardly ever remember my dreams and certainly not is such detail. I wonder what that says about my psychological state.

I kept a dream journal for a while and that helped me train my brain to remember my midnight adventures a bit better.

I know! I know! *waves hand excitedly like Hermione Granger in class*

It's your subconscious telling you its time to come back to hobbits!

*grins triumphantly!*

I'm willing to bet that after the Hobbit airs in December, I'll get bitten by a few little bugs. And since hobbits have proven easier for me to write than anything else I've tried my hand at, I may even post something at some point. :)

As long as I don't wake up terrified, I'm happy to have interesting dreams.
