More flooding

Luckily, not at my place, though. My boss just called to say the basement at work (which is where my toddler room is) got a bit flooded and smells very bad. The building manager/maintenance guy is working to get the water out and clean the carpets, but tomorrow may be a cleaning day for staff, if it's too bad for the kids to come in. I wish they'd just close the center, or even just the infant/toddler program. The preschool is on the first floor and unaffected by the flooding. So far.

The rain seems to have stopped. If there's no more heavy rain, there should be no more flooding and things should be fine. That's a lot of 'shoulds', however.

We've had some flooding this summer too but not at the moment. It is supposed to rain here for the next three days though so you just never know.
Stay high and dry!

One of my friends described yesterday as getting an ocean dumped on our heads. Hopefully you won't get quite that wet with your rain. :)

Ah, that mother nature! She sure does know how to keep humans on their toes! (Or on top of tall furniture with their socks and shoes in their hands and their pants rolled up to their knees, as the case may be!)

Hope you can get the place cleaned up before all the really small people return!

Luckily, everything was put to rights by the time I got here, and there were no delays for the kids. Our building manager/maintenance guy was here until around 2:30 last night, though, cleaning our carpets and then drying them out. :(

What a shame your land lady doesn't have such a worker! Hope it all dries out soon. I do think you might want to ask her about a dehumidifier for when it gets wet. You could leave it when you move so she would have it for the next tenent. Just a thought
