I may be slow...

...but I get there in the end.

It seems I don't get anything down if I don't do it right away, so I'm going to do this tonight, rather than waiting til later.
I'm glad they've at least sorta-kinda resolved the whole computer-bunker-Desmond thing, because I was really getting tired of seeing the same scenes (that didn't thrill me much the first time around) over and over again.
I did really like Locke's arc in this. I was getting tired of his obsessiveness, but the flashback this week showed a bit of why having faith in something - anything - is so important to him (and jeez, there for a minute I was having trouble remembering which fandom I was talking about, lol). I'm also really beginning to wonder what's going on inside Jack's head. He is so determined to not take *anything* on faith, and it seems to personally offend him when anyone else does. He's not just perplexed about why Desmond would believe that something bad will happen if the numbers aren't entered into the computer. He's angry that Desmond believes this. It just seems to piss him off that others are willing to believe anything without proof positive. And I love how hard he tries to pretend that there isn't a little voice inside him saying 'what if it's true'.
I'm thinking it's going to be really interesting to see what happens now that we have two completely distinct and separate tribes living on the island, that are slowly becoming aware of each other. When it was just our merry band splitting into two groups, there wasn't really any sense of rivalry (except between Jack and Sawyer, Michael and Jin, Jack and Locke, Locke and Michael, etc,) but I think this new group isn't going to be so thrilled to meet our group. My guess is that it's been much harder for them. Our group had lots of raw materials from the fusilage, medicine, clothing and other supplies from the luggage, and a larger group of people to provide support and man-power. Who knows what this new group has had to work with, but I'm guessing, judging by their reaction to Jin, Michael and Sawyer, that they've had a run-in or two with the 'others'. They are not going to be trusting our guys easily. And they may feel pretty bitter when they meet up with our group, which I'm sure they will eventually.
Favorite line of the night (and you'll have to forgive me if I get it wrong, as my VCR still doesn't work and I can't double check)
Hurley: At least things are getting back to normalness around here.
Kate: (running towards them through the jungle) Sayid! Sayid!
Hurley: Oh, crap.
