On the bright side, Letters From Iwo Jima is a really good movie. Heart-wrenching and a little gory in a few spots, but really good. I have thoughts about it, especially comparing it to Pan's Labrynth, but I'll save them for another post.

The main revelation of the evening is that I'm done.

I hereby release Dr. Medical Physicist back into the wilds of lonely dating. It was fun for a little while, but seriously, the whole 'we need to have a relationship talk' thing was just a little too much.

Deconstruction of a 'relationship' )

So, yeah, he's sexy and smart, but it just isn't enough. Picky Meesh strikes again.

Something's up. I thought it was just lj not sending out email notifications of comments, but I'm beginning to suspect the problem lies with Yahoo. I haven't got any spam, haven't been inundated with archive listserv junk, and haven't received notifications for any of the lj comments I've got in the past twenty-four hours. So if you've commented on a post or replied to a comment I left you and I haven't got back to you, I apologize. Hopefully, Yahoo will pull itself back together soon.

In other news, I've been watching Red Dwarf today. I've seen isolated episodes of it before, but never sat down to watch it systematically. And that's where the wonder that is Netflix comes in, because I've got season one here to watch, now. Ah, the fun! I'm in love with Holly (is that how you spell it?) the delightfully deadpan, dry-witted ship's computer. And the desperately needy AI toaster. Poor, underutilized little thing. *bg*
