Jul. 1st, 2008 01:35 pmDay two of ellipticals. I still hate them. Mostly just because I really like running a lot and the ellipticals, while providing a workout, aren't running. This is not in any way to imply that running is superior in any empirical way to ellipticals. I just like it better. And by the time my leg feels better and I can run again, who knows how much ground I'll have lost. *sigh*
On the other hand. I had a decent 'run' on the elliptical today. 3.5 miles in 38:12 minutes and 3.63 miles altogether, in 40 minutes (ANM, you can just keep your insane 7.25 in 35, that's never gonna happen here). But that was without inclines or resistance. I tried setting the machine to intervals and when the incline jumped from 4 to 10, it also upped the resistance from nothing to 8 (whatever that setting means) and it felt like I was trying to run through mud. It sucked a lot. I gave that up after one interval.
