The final score may have been 7-4 but it was still a nail biter most of the way through. All the way along, up through the beginning of the third period the lead was going back and forth between the two teams. The Pens were on fire though. Crosby scored the first goal, Kunitz got his first goal in a couple of months, and Malkin got a hat trick. There were a few others along the way, Kennedy's empty-netter, to get them to that final score. Oh yeah, and a couple of fights. It isn't playoff hockey without a couple of fights.

The Pens had an amazing amount of energy in the third period. Carolina is a master at coming back in the last minutes of play, but the Pens dominated the puck, Fleury refused to let anything more get past him, and the Carolina Hurricanes are heading home down two games. Life is sweet.
