An almost busy weekend
Jul. 12th, 2009 10:17 pmI was somewhat less lazy than usual this weekend. On Saturday I had brunch with
eve11 and a friend from work, at a new restaurant, Paris 66. Not too surprisingly, given the name, it's a french restaurant. They makes some very good crepes, although the one I had was mostly just a good salad on a crepe bed - not exactly what I was expecting but still yummy.
Then it was on to do some shopping for dragoncon costumes. I got (hopefully) everything I need to make a scale model radio tower for my 50ft woman costume.
eve11 got the paint she wanted for the Doctor Who info-spike appliances. We were unable to find grey tights or leggings, but we may end up just doing body paint anyway, for the black and white era movie costumes.
I was exceptionally lazy the rest of the day, but this morning I forced myself out the door and walked into Squirrel Hill with the intention of buying groceries. Unfortunately, my pms-fatigued body informed me in no uncertain terms that I would not be walking home with groceries, and there were no buses due any time soon, so I just made a run to Rite Aid for a few essentials like catfood, bread and milk.
Came home and cleaned the kitchen. I've been putting that off for a while, but it is now sparklingly clean. I even emptied and scrubbed out the litter box. I also managed one mixed load of laundry, so I have enough clean stuff for this week. And then I loafed around for a little while before babysitting through the late afternoon/early evening. And now I'm being exceptionally lazy again. Yay for lazy. *grins*
