remodeling ongoing

I feel like I need to hire a web design type person to help me redo the look of my journal. But for now, I'm once again trying something new. The Bats Blue didn't work for me - I found it difficult to read with the white text on black, and the subject lines were awkward somehow.

This is definitely not the final end product, but it's simpler and easier to read, and shouldn't cause any headaches. And to match it, I've changed my default icon to the new Mal and Zoe one.

One of these days I'm really going to dig in and find the motivation to find a picture I like and remember how to do the coding to apply it to my journal. I will. *nods emphatically*

I can write fic!

I don't know what it is about Merlin that brings out the dark, angsty fic-writer in me, but man. I just wrote over a thousand words in about an hour, something I've been mulling over for a good week or so, but hadn't done more than played around with up till today. It's not done yet and needs a good betaing, but it's angsty. I find it somewhat disturbing that I cannot write Merlin fic without killing someone off.
