Jul. 8th, 2011 11:35 pmAnother work week has passed us by and another weekend has found us. *does a little happy dance* My 'vacation' officially started when I clocked out of work at 5:45 this afternoon. I have no travel plans but plenty of things to keep me occupied. I want to get the apartment into some semblance of clean and organized. I hope to go to the Butler County Fair on Sunday (plans dependent on others, of course). I need to get my resume polished and do some serious job hunting. I hope to spend a day or two planted at one of the local coffee shops doing just that. There' a story I've been playing around with and I want to stop fiddling around with world building and get down to plot structuring. I need to either find fabric for the Gangers costume or find another costume. Plans are in place to go to the gym. I think that should be enough to prevent me from moping about the fact that I had to burn my vacation time when I couldn't afford to take a vacation, while still leaving plenty of 'laze about the house staring at the tv/internet' time.
I started things off on the right foot by watching a silly movie. This one was an Indie called Ten Inch Hero. I first heard of it during my Supernatural days because Jensen Ackles is in it, and then, as it's an Indie and wasn't showing anywhere, I promptly forgot about it. But it's now available on Netflix, so I queued it up and off we went. It's a ridiculously romantic comedy in which four misfits end up working together at a sandwich shop where they "share touching moments and laughter about their personal struggles," according to Netflix.
