(no subject)

Christmas shopping...I should probably do some of that at some point. Maybe this weekend, especially since nearly everything will have to go through the post. Hate having to mail gifts off, much prefer giving them in person. Sadly, that would involve a lot of travel that I have sworn not to engage in this year due to excessive lack of interest in spending time away from home. So mailing stuff off it is, and thus, shopping.

Well, lyda_pearl luckily seems to have at least some of my lacking Christmas spirit, so we have a tree up and decorated. It looks pretty, but we really need to get a tree-topper. Sidney Crosby worked okay as a joke last year but I'd much prefer my star to be less humanoid in appearance. Maybe I'll do a little decoration shopping tonight after work and see if I can find a star and a few things to make the rest of the house look equally festive.

In other news, I had a great run this morning. I pushed the pace a little bit, running three 6.5mph laps (not consecutive) and going 2.75 miles. I'm slowing building my endurance up - I think I'll be able to get back up to three miles by the end of January or the beginning of February, at this point.

Con report, part one, just a few weeks late

I don't know why I find it so hard these days to sit down and write up a con report. Anyway, I've had a few good excuses in real life to put off said write-up, but I've used them all up, so I'd better get to it.

And since I got a late start on this, the rest will have to wait. Hopefully I'll be able to get the rest of the weekend up on Thursday. If not, it will probably be the weekend.
