(no subject)

Apparently it's Halloween. Somehow, despite planning in advance for things like today's Halloween parade at work, the holiday still snuck up on me. To the extent that I have no costume, no parties to attend, and no candy to pass out at home tonight (although it usually takes me long enough to get home that most of the trick-or-treating is already done). This bums me out a lot because usually Halloween is one of my favorite days of the year.

Of course, my mood isn't helped by the fact that I have another cold/sinus/allergies thing going on, resulting in a headache, sore throat, congestion, etc. And I haven't had a decent night's sleep yet this week because the allergy meds keep me awake.

But. The kidlets at work were freakin' adorable, so that helps somewhat, and they did a fantastic job of keeping it together all morning while wearing costumes and going on an endless parade around the school, which is almost unheard of. So there is good to the day. But mostly, I just want to go home and go to bed. *sigh*
