Rosy sunset

One of the best things about my apartment is the big windows in the front room. My apartment overlooks a little park with a street beyone that and the distant view of a tree covered hill, behind which are some of the most gorgeous sunsets I've seen in years. It's really been a long time since I've lived in a place where I can see the sunset just by turning my head a little to the left of my computer screen. Tonight's version is a deep purply-orange color, with just enough clouds to spread that color across half the sky. Really, sincerely beautiful. I love watching it go from lavender to orange and then slowly fade away to darkness as the streetlights come on.

I'm missing comics tonight because I've been feeling a bit dicey again today - probably should have held off on the glazed scone and caffe mocha from Starbucks, but mm, it was yummy. However, I have fic to read, some SGA stuff mulling around in my head to write, and X-Men III to watch on DVD if I should feel like it. It's all good. *grins*
