Thanks for the virtual chocolates, dude. I hope you don't regret having sent them after reading my comments.

Poor Mal must think it's Torture the Kitten day or something. First I pinned him down to clip his nails (razor sharp, as my legs can attest). Then, he and Thor were lurking around the edges of the tub while I took a soak, they squabbled, and Thor pushed him in! His hind legs and belly all got pretty thoroughly wet. Much to my impressed surprise, he didn't take off like a rocket, though. He did disappear for a minute or two, but then came back and spent a lot of time staring at the water, testing it with a paw to see if it would hold him, prowling around the edges of the tub, etc. I think he liked my attempts to dry him off even less than getting wet in the first place. He's too hyper-energetic to put up with being wrapped in a towel and rubbed for very long.

I consider it all fair payback though. Yesterday I got home from work to find that dear, sweet Mal had somehow unplugged the refrigerator. I don't think the power was off long enough for the mayo and such to go bad (pretty much the only food I currently have in the fridge is condiments) but I won't know until I test it all. The leftover Padthai from Wednesday seems to have been alright - ate it last night and haven't got sick yet.

In an oddly coincidental move, the power was off at some point early yesterday afternoon. Not only did I find the fridge unplugged, but all the digital clocks in the apartment were blinking at me. It was all just very weird.

Mal sounds like such a clever, sweet kitty.

Wierd. Could messing around with the fridge plug have thrown the breaker or anything?

I thought about that, but I don't see how unplugging the fridge could have blown a fuse or tripped a circuit.

Take my advice for what it's worth - don't use the mayo! Get a fresh jar - talking from experience. I gave myself a rather nasty case of food posoning from that very thing! NOT my idea of fun, LOL!

Sorry for posting this more than once, I kept getting a weird error... I think I must have had a screwed up html tag somewhere...

Thanks for the virtual chocolates, dude.

No problemo dudette. I would have sent coffee, but, LJ was fresh out of scones to go with it :) Besides, it didn't seem to fit in with sweetest day
>_>

I hope you don't regret having sent them after reading my comments.

On the contrary, it's exactly the kind of comments I wanted/needed to hear. I'll be replying to your reply shortly.

I have to agree with the advice you pitch that mayo. I don't want you getting sick again. Too bad they don't have virtual mayo or I'd send you some *g*

At least you didn't have something expensive that would spoil in there. That could have been cat-astrophic.

Yes, that was terrible... just be glad I didn't mention how your food spoiling could have left you Mal-nourished :)

I'll keep that in mind. Food poisoning is something I would prefer to avoid. :)

I'm just hoping the little guy refrains from pulling the same trick twice. That would leave me feeling very Mal-contented. *winces*

Poor Mal! Makes me laugh to visualize Thor pushing him into the tub, though! One small bit of payback it must seem!

I love it when other people take over the mother hen mode! Leaves me free to leave comments about the kitty antics instead!
