We both had some decent success in finding clothes and accessories for our mad science costumes. I got a nice office admin type outfit (cute skirt and matching sweater), which will be embellished with various computery things to make my android.
We ate lunch at a little place called The Pita Pit. Think Subway, but for Mediterranean food. I got a falafel roll and it was okay, but not superb. The falafel was grilled but only lukewarm. It was satisfactory, however, and the refueling allowed us to have enough energy for more shopping.
Over to the Waterfront next, where we went to a variety of stores in search of a black turtleneck for Eve. We also both got kitty litter and cat food, constant necessities. And I tried on jeans at Old Navy and Cargoes at Target, and found myself comfortably fitting in size 6 for the first time in probably fifteen years!
Dinner at Eat-N-Park (a 'small' meal of spaghetti, garlic bread and broccoli that was still three times more than I needed). And then on to the last thing we had to do. Drive downtown and go to the Pens game.

A pic from warm-up. We were up in the nosebleed section, but there are truly no bad seats at the new arena and we had a great, unimpeded view of the whole ice. And also an unimpeded view of the massive jumbo tron (at the Civic Arena, you had to bend over and put your head between your knees in order to see things like the PP/PK clock).
I caught this shot of Mark Letestu on the jumbotron. He's also the tiny player on the bottom right of the pic. He was deserving of the love tonight, scoring a goal and earning the number three star of the game.
A rare face-off win (the Pens are usually better on the faceoff than they were tonight) put the puck right on Kris Letang's stick.
Fleury on the jumbotron just before the start of the second period.
My first attempt at using the Panoramic setting on my phone camera. It apparently has all sorts of fun settings that I've never played with.
After the game, we wandered (with much retracing of steps and a minimal amount of frustrated cursing) down to the main entrance in order to check out the Mario Lemieux Mosaic. It was a little too dark for my phone, so I didn't get a great shot, but this one isn't bad.
This game was a bit of a grudge match, so it's doubly disappointing that we lost (final score Habs 3, Pens 2). The Habs knocked the Pens out of the playoffs last year and it would have been sweet to beat them. It was fun booing PK Subban every time he touched the puck, though. He cut Jordan Staal's foot in the post season, and Staal is still out, recovering from an infection of the injury. Subban will not be forgiven soon.
