auntiemeeshWell, summer is taking a brief break, for which I'm very grateful. Yesterday and today have been very cool (jackets needed) and incessantly rainy. Perfect days to spend sitting inside working on quilting.
I've been good, I followed up on a job application I filled out yesterday, got another resume out in the mail, checked all the job listings, and now I'm ready to sit back and do the fun things. I think I'll go ahead and follow up on yesterdays FotR movie viewing with a bit of TTT movie viewing. That should give me a good four hours of quilting, after which I'll be more than ready to take a break from that and do some writing.
Maybe I'll even hear from one of the job possibilities in the meantime.
Yesterday I went shoe shopping, to find something to wear with the one decent pair of pants that I have (bought so that I could go on job interviews). This is what I found.
So cute and so totally unlike what I normally wear (boots and heavy duty walking shoes), but I couldn't resist them. They aren't really grey, more of a lovely blondish tan color. Amazingly enough, I can even walk in them, which I normally cannot do at all in flip-flops. Now I just need to paint my toenails pretty colors to match. God, I'm turning into such a girl! Next thing you know, I'll be wearing makeup and doing my hair. And then who knows where it will end.
