I'm such a fickle girl... sometimes it's a latte with cinnamon sprinkled on the whipped cream, sometimes its an iced or hot chai... sometimes it's a regular coffee...sometimes it's a smoothie. Doesn't really matter what I drink, the important thing is to have it with a nice, tasty, fresh scone.
I don't like coffe house chais very much. It's a chai latte, really, and I don't like mine all milky like that. I prefer just a real chai tea. Tazo makes the best!
I used to buy a great chai at Redner's (but I can't remember the brand) when I still lived in Plymouth. For some reason, I haven't bought it for at home since I moved to Hummelstown - I guess maybe because hubby doesnt' drink tea, and we usually do grocery shopping together. What I used to get at the Tudor Bookshop's coffee bar was Tazo's chai - not a latte, and it was v.v. good.
Nothing wrong with a little milk. I don't think it has to do with wimpiness, just taste preference. I've found I usually don't like my drinks to be as thick as milk makes them, so I take them black, but with a bit of sugar.
I voted for tea -- since I don't drink coffee at all -- but will also branch out, depending on the weather, to an occasional smoothie, hot chocolate, or "hot apple blast" (cider).
