Costuming, blah, blah, blah

I started Chiana's hat this morning and I think it's going to be the quickest of all the various bits of costume I'm doing. In fact, I think I would probably be done with it already if I hadn't realized right away that I didn't have nearly enough piping to go between each stripe of grey and black. So I jumped in the car and ran out to Walmart (I'm still marveling at my new ability to just jump in the car and go when I need to). Unfortunately, Walmart didn't have any piping, so I'm having to make my own. That slows things up considerably. It's not at all hard, it's just time consuming. On the plus side, the new piping is a much more vibrant yellow; the stuff they had at the Cut-n-Sew was on the pale side.
