I've finished the waistcoat, or at least mostly finished it. I still need to put the decorative touches on it, but that won't happen til Saturday, and I don't want to do the buttons until the fabric paint dries, so that will have to wait until Sunday. It turned out not bad, although it's full of flaws. It's the first time I've sewed anything with a lining and putting the lining on and getting everything together just confused the heck out of me. It still has white basting stitches all over the place (I don't know why I was supposed to baste everything I did, but now I have to go back and pick it all out), but I should be able to do that much after work tomorrow.

The plan for tomorrow night is to start laying out the stripes on the grey leggings. Lyda Pearl and I are going to stick strips of tape on and then sew the stripes in between the tape, to make the lines nice and even. We'll try it out and see how it works, but I'm not holding my breath. It could go either way.

I start my other job tomorrow. At the moment, it looks like I'll be working 60 hours a week, but I'm cutting back at the coffee shop, probably once I get back from Dragon Con, so then it will only be 50 hrs a week. Oh joy!

Those leggings sound rough to me. I can see it, but I doubt that I could manage to do it. Good luck with that and the new job.

I'm not entirely sure *how* I'm going to manage it, but I'll give it a shot. :D

60 hrs a week is a lot! That`s 12 hours a day then, if you work five days a week.

I'm hoping to not have to do sixty hours a week, or at least not for very long, but as it is, I'm working six days a week, so it's only ten hours a day. Somehow it doesn't seem as bad when I think about it like that. :)

congrats on the waistcoat! You have been so very creative and energetic with your costuming! Please don't overdo it with the work, dear. I wouldn't want you to get sick - especially since I am hatching a plan to come visit you, LP and Mr. P. in NH this fall!

I'm sure to get sick, just from being in a new daycare surrounded by new kids with new germs, but I'll try to keep it as mild as possible. ;)
