Here I am, at work, and I'm bored, bored, bored. No one is here, there is nothing to do, so I turn to the internet for company and entertainment.

1. Go into your livejournal archive
2. Find your 23rd post.
3. Find your 5th sentence (or closest to it.)
4. Post the text of your sentence in this post along with these instructions.
5. Tag 5 people on your friend's list.

Here it is: I feel better now!

Apparently I was ranting in that post. Writer's block, or somesuch bothersomeness, most likely, as I was working on 'Courage' at the time.

[livejournal.com profile] lyda_pearl, [livejournal.com profile] ani_no_mouse, [livejournal.com profile] westwindschild, [livejournal.com profile] eve11 and [livejournal.com profile] uisceboo, you're all tagged.

I had my third day of meetings and stuff at the new job. Today we had what amounted to our first staff meeting, going over changes that had taken place during the summer, etc. Our homework for tomorrow is to bring in one transition song to teach the other teachers. Sadly, geek that I am, I was able to immediately sit down and write out at least four or five. I'm starting to look forward to all the fun things I'll be able to do with the preschoolers. It turns out there is a hiking trail less than half a mile from the center, which we can take the kids walking on, provided we get permission for walks from all the parents. It's a lovely little trail that runs through the woods to a little stream. If we cross the stream and keep going, there is a waterfall further on, which I haven't seen yet. Tomorrow we have more meetings, and then it's time to do planning for the first few weeks of school. That will be fun as well. I haven't done lesson planning like that in a while. :)

Isn`t it lovely when you can have a bit of wood and a stream or river close by? :) Good luck with that job!

It's such a nice change from living in the city, where the closest the kids got to nature was when squirrels ran across the playground. :D

Well, I suppose you'll just have to remember to do this sometime after you've got 23 posts, lol. :D

I'm so happy for you that you've found what appears to be your perfect job. And with Fall just around the corner, won't it be nice to be able to take the kiddies on a little hike among the changing leaves? Nothing in the world like little kids kicking up the fallen leaves in the autumn. Oh, look! Is that a bunny hopping by??? ;-)

If only it was my perfect job...

I'm feeling very frustrated today. After being team leader for five years, I'm finding it very difficult to be relegated to the role of barely useful assistant (which seems to be what the head teacher here thinks). Grrr!

Oh no! That has got to be hard to take. I remember returning to my area after my first child was born, after having had a dream job for 8 years before he was born and I was relegated to just "one of the girls" in the office. SO hard to take. You have my sympathy, dear. But look on the bright side: next Friday YOU'LL BE HERE!!!!!!!!

Am having a bit of difficulty working things out for the boys, but I'll manage something. And, btw, which Pippin outfit did you make? My Merry is more in line with Birthday Party Merry, you know with the fireworks?

You know I might be able to borrow those fake fireworks my friend made last year and didn't use. We could wander around pre-fireworks for a bit, then disappear into the bathroom and soot our faces and hair and reappear and see if anyone notices the difference. ;-)

You don't know how much I'm looking forward to this trip. I did make the party costume for Pippin, because I remember you saying that was what you did with your friend last year. It would be great if you could borrow the fake fireworks from your friend to carry around.

*hugs you*

I am so jealous that you've found a nature trail where it is actually legal to go walking (without getting yourself committed first!)

I haven't had a chance to check my archives. I may be in Lyda_Pearl's position (although I do post more frequently than she does.) Do replies to other people's comments count?

Are you having difficulties finding good places to take Rudy?

but that would have given the wrong impression. I do now have a car and I'm

Sorry, I don't think I understand the rest of the instructions. Should I be posting this here, or in my own journal?

You can post it here, but generally, with a meme of this sort, you copy the instructions from the journal you found it in and paste it into your journal before doing whatever action is called for in the meme.
