I was just finishing my report on day three of the con when I hit some random button and the whole blasted thing disappeared! There are so many random keys on keyboards these days and they all seem to hover under my fingers, just waiting to get in my way. *sigh*

Well, I'm not even going to attempt to reconstruct right now. It will just have to wait until another time.

omg that totally blows! That's happened to me a few times with emails. I have these "forward" and "back" buttons right next to my arrow keys that I just want to turn off. I hate them.

I'll have to redo the report at some point, but Sunday is such a blur for me that it was hard to remember what I did, and now I'm bummed that I have to go back and make such an effort to remember again. :(

Oh well. It will give me something to do with my few hours of freedom this evening and tomorrow, before going back to work on Monday. I also have cross-over fic to write. When everyone was taking pics of the Scarran, someone said something about how there should be a cross-over fic with the Scarrans and hobbits. When I got home, my sister (who'd apparently been thinking about this a lot while I was gone) thought I should write a futuristic 'hobbits in space' sort of thing, and then I was thinking about the whole reimagining of BSG and thought it would be fun to 'reimagine' LotR, setting it in the future, when hobbits are roaming the universe, lol. Now I can't get the idea out of my head. Isn't that sad?

Augh, poor baby! I'm about to start giving my mom lessons on how to use a computer (she's never even touched one, and doesn't know a mouse from a keyboard), and I need to remind her that EVERYONE hits the wrong keys, crashes HAPPEN, and computer do what they want... not always what we tell them.

Thanks. Computers are just frustrating things, really. My problem is that I type quickly but not well, so I hit lots of keys that I didn't mean to, spend a lot of time on the backspace, but then when I hit something like the Windows key, I don't realize that I've hit it until I've already hit the undo button, or called up some program I don't want, lol.

It's going better now that I've survived a full week of real life. Last week was really hard because I was completely exhausted before the week even started and I was really looking forward to having Friday evening off, only to find out there had been a miscommunication with Coffee Shop Boss and I was going to have to work from 7:30 am to 9 pm. Then get up and be at the coffee shop at 7:45 Sat morning and put in another nine hour day. It went pretty well though, and I did get to rest all day yesterday. Of course, Sunny was up to some unpleasant tricks last night and I woke up during the commotion, and then couldn't get back to sleep for a good hour, so I'm feeling pretty tired today. But hey, I should be done with work by five or five-thirty and I don't have to go the Coffee Shop, so it's all good. :)

Sorry I had to drop out of chat so fast last night - don't know if I had a hot flash or if the room was really hot, but I was suddenly swamped with warmth!
