It's that time of the year, when my paid account needed to be renewed. I really, really wanted to buy extra icon space but I was good and refrained. I love all my pretty little icons and wish I could have more available for daily usage, but I'm terrible at making them and it's so hard to find exactly what I want out there, I decided it makes more sense to at least hold off a little while. *sigh*

I was working on my hobbits in space reimagining last night. I was wondering if anyone had any favorite scifi nods they wanted to have included. So far it looks like there will be some BSG and Farscape references as well as Trekkie references. If there's anything else you think it would be fun to include just shout it out and I'll fit it in somehow. It doesn't even have to be scifi. Anything at all, if you think it would be fun to see, I'll do. It's almost like a Choose-your-own-Adventure fic. :)

The wild dreaming continues on apace, although last night's episode was far more entertaining than previous nights this week. I was at home and had to go to a friend's house, but for some reason that friend was shooting at me (I know, I said this dream was entertaining, I'm just weird is all). So I got to her house and found out that she had created this really weird periscope-like gun barrel that was allowing her to stand in one spot in her house and turn this 'scope around and fire in any direction. I even got to give it a try myself. Then we focused the periscope on the house where her Dad and brothers were living - there was some bad blood there that the dream didn't specify, but it seemed the dad was shacked up with some woman and the brothers were bad news. So when the dad came out of the house, it was all out war. The brothers made it into my friends house but for some reason managed to get a cease fire, and then the war was pretty much over. The reason I had come over in the first place was to invite my friend to come over to my house for a party. She agreed to come but for some reason, needed me to come pick her up when it was time, even though she lived only one street down from me. When it came time to pick her up, I drove up to her house but there was no parking in front so I had to go around back to the driveway. Well, it turned out that there was a huge festival going on in the park behind her house and I was unable to find anywhere to park and ended up driving all the way out to the interstate without finding a place to turn around. Then things started to get a little weird. We were going through a line and people were drinking these enormous 32 oz. Starbucks coffees, so I was trying to convert them to drink enormous 32 oz. One Bean Street coffees, because that would somehow give me control over their minds or something. That's pretty much where the dream fizzled out.

Excellent! I may have to do a little research for this one, as I'm pretty much a B5 virgin, but I'll find something. It occurred to me as I saw your post, that I should also stick a little A-Team in there somewhere. I'm sure there must be room for a little bravado and cigar-smoking self-satisfaction. Maybe I'll fit Howling Mad Murdoch in somehow, or the Golfball liberation front, lol. Now, that could actually work, what with the hobbits being the inventors of golf, after all. :D

That would be Awesome :-D

You know that Murdoch, or the actor, was in Star Trek as well.

I did know that. He was fairly entertaining as Reg, but I love him much more as Murdoch, lol. :)

Lots and lots of material for the therapist's couch in this one! Very entertaining. Good recollection of detail - I keep having truly bizarre dreams that have melted away to wisps by the time I am awake enough to try to write them down.

My dreams *are* my therapy, sister dear. I work out all of my aggressive tendencies without ever hurting a single soul. :)

OH, thanks for reminding me. I have to renew my paid account too and I`d better do it while I still have money becaus in a few weeks I won`t have money any more and I don`t know when I`ll get money again.

Sorry I can`t help about the scifi. Not very into that. I`m very into hobbits though, lol. :D

*hugs*

It doesn't have to be scifi, it could be an element from any show, movie or book that you're into (provided I am familiar enough with it to incorporate it somehow). Basically, it's going to be one big weird mishmash of pop-culture references helmed by hobbits. I don't know how it's going to turn out, but I'm having a great time thinking about it, lol.

*hugs*

Ah all right. How about Merry building a raft, like the one in Lost? Or make a Strider/Jack thing. Or any other Lotr/Lost mix?

Very fun. Lost was already trying to work its way in there and now it has a purpose! :) I think some sort of Strider meets Jack interaction would be very entertaining. :)

I think you may be drinking too much One Bean Street coffee yourself - or perhaps just inhaling too many coffee fumes! Still, at least it sounds as if you are having interesting nights to break up your busy busy days.

Lol! The coffee fumes have gone to my head. I had strange and interesting dreams again last night, but there was at least no coffee involved.
