I was finally given a key to the coffee shop yesterday, being considered competent to open on my own now. Well, I got here at ten to eight this morning, put my key in the lock, fiddled, jiggled, took it out, tried it again, tried all the other keys that look the same but are on different keychains, tried the first one again, did everything I could think of. It wouldn't open. Went around to the back but it didn't even go in the lock in the back. Came back to the front and tried again. Still didn't work.

I ended up having to go all the way home (there being no close payphones) in order to call Coffee Shop Boss to have him come and open the door for me. I'm pretty sure he was still sleeping when I called. On the plus side, the key didn't work for him either, so it wasn't just me being inexplicably incompetent. Also, seeing as he was there, and it was already almost twenty after eight, he stayed and did the coffees while I set everything else up and did the baking. That meant that we were nearly ready to open at opening time, lol. All the coffees were made and there was only a little baking left to do.

Not the way I would have liked to start the day, but it seems to have turned out well. We even had a little mini rush this morning, so I don't have to feel entirely guilty about the fact that the place is always deader than dead when I work.

My sister just came in for coffee and admitted that I have a box from Amazon.com waiting for me at home. Could it be my Lost dvds? Yay! I also broke down last night and bought the Emergency! season one dvds while I was at Walmart. So between the two of them, I should be go to go for a while. :D

Did you get a new key now? Hope the next day opening on your own will start better.

I should get a new key sometime this week. I can only hope that next Saturday the opening is a little smoother. ;)

You got your DVDs! Yay! I'm already having to fight YS for them; he had a buddy sleep over last night and they watched eps 1 and 2, then today 3, 4 and 5 and then they went over to buddy's house for the sleepover THERE and are going to watch more. I haven't been able to find the Driveshaft thingie on it yet, so if you figure out where it is, let me know, ok? I kept that one here in case I got a chance to watch it. Hope you got another key and that things go swimmingly next time. *hugs*

I'm not sure which disc the Driveshaft thing is on, but I'll be keeping my eyes out for it. :)

Oh, I finally saw it! So good! And look for the All the Cowboys Have Daddy Issues bit where he makes a joke about being "well hung." :-):-):-)

I watched the bonus features dvd today and saw the 'well hung' joke. I laughed.

It was a Lost Marathon day for me. I watched all the bonus features and then just played the episodes through. I just finished Hearts and Minds and I'm forcing myself to go to bed because I have to be at work at 7:30 tomorrow, but the funny thing is, my brother in law, who disdains television, spent the entire day in my room with me, watching the show. Even my sister joined in, early on in the day. I was completely shocked at their complete and utter sucked-in-ness, but also highly amused, lol.

We watched "All the Best Cowboys have Daddy issues" and they both separately insisted that Charlie couldn't die because he was far too cute. Then they both held their breath and grew very worried during that whole awful 'Charlie's dead' scene. You probably heard their sighs of relief down your way, when Charlie took that first gasping breath of air. :D

LOL! Oh, they *were* sucked in, weren't they? That's wonderful. YS and I did not get to watch as many eps together as we wented, because his buddy was over and they watched in his room most of the time, then he went to buddy's house and took them with him. I did get to watch most of the special features dvd. Haven't seen the bloopers yet but that's on the agenda for tonight. ;-)

Did you see that Lost won the Emmy? And Dominic was just adorable, as usual.

Coffee is life's blood. Too bad it doesn't sit well with me. :(

Season two of Hetty is fun. Wee!Geoff is growing up, it's so cute.

Btw, I love the black and white pic of Dom in the icon you're using here. Just soooo pretty. :D

I love that picture too, well all of those in that icon. I like Dom best when he`s neat and clean lol, although he has some cool hair-dos he can do without the make-up and beard I think (unless he`s playing Charlie of course).
