Lost diary

I just checked out the diary at the ABC Lost site. After the long, dry summer, it's finally been updated. The last page of the Diary struck me as pretty interesting. I'm very curious about the woman who's writing the journal and wondering if we'll ever meet her on the show or if she's just a website character.

Well it's about time she updated! I've been checking periodically for the last couple weeks - I wonder if the 3 who stayed by the fire with Janelle are from the Others? It would be cool if they would introduce her on the show, wouldn't it? There are about 30 or so characters from the crash who haven't figured in stories yet that there is lots of room for it.
I've been thinking about that "Quarantine" door. And how Rousseau said her party survived fine for about 2 months. Then one by one her companions fell ill. It's been a month and a half for our castaways; do you suppose Locke and Jack are falling victim to the island's mystery illness and that's why they are practically at each other's throats?
I also have my own theory about why Charlie was so adamant that there are no Others, when clearly he has one of the best reasons to admit that there are... I think the writers just plain forgot about his captivity and aborted hanging when they were writing this episode. And they wanted Shannon's vision of Walt to cause an argument in the camp about the Others; and to once again point out that Danielle is a bit off. Charlie was the only available character of the original 14, except for Sun or Claire, neither of whom would be likely to engage in an argument about whether the Others are real. It certainly would have been more believable if that statement was made by a "Red Shirt", instead of Charlie.

Well, I need to go find a pay phone and call home to let Mr WWC know that I made it safe to Buffalo.

I have a hard time believing the writers *forgot* that Charlie had a run-in with the Others before this. I'm sure they have a plan and are going somewhere specific with his current behavior, I'm just not sure yet where that might be, lol.

I think this page of the diary was the first to name her, although I can't say for certain, as it's been awhile since I read the earlier parts of it.

Speaking of diaries, have you seen the Livejournal page for The French Lady? She posts mysterious poems that, when decoded, seem to provide information about upcoming episodes. Does she have inside info, or is she just a good guesser? Beats me.

Ouch, those poems are just going to give me a headache. I've never been good at cryptic. Still, it's an interesting site to keep an eye on. :)
