Where was I? Oh yes. You have to love how conveniently timed some things are, don't you. Of course Michael starts IMing with someone (maybe Walt, maybe not) right after Locke and Eko watch the reconstructed film telling them how dangerous it could be to use the computer to contact anyone else. And do we really think it was Walt that Michael was talking to? Seems kind of unlikely that he would have free access to a computer, but hey, maybe the Others feel so secure that they don't care what he does, or maybe it's a trap of some kind.

Poor Sayid, he's having a hard time; too hard to really care what kind of distress Kate was in. And Kate made me laugh with her attempt to sound sorry for having missed Shannon's funeral. Ah, Kate. We all have to face the consequences of our actions, and not all of those consequences are imposed on us from the outside. She's suffering right now. Little miss Mary Sue is falling to pieces. Her shouting at Jack (and then kissing him) was less interesting, I thought, than her private confessional to Sawyer/Wayne. And [livejournal.com profile] fell_beast2, I thought it was very interesting that Sawyer responded much the same way as the Marshal when waking, hands shooting up to grab her about the neck. Do I think it's the aggrieved spirit of Wayne, the dead biological father/stepdad? I don't know.

And... the horse. The first time I saw the horse I assumed she was hallucinating. Then when it appeared in her flashback, it was such a strange thing, almost like an apparition even then. And then to have it turn out to be a real horse is kinda weird. Okay, not at all inconceivable that there might be a horse on the island, considering what other life has shown up already, but such a shiny, perfectly groomed, very tame horse? Of course, what it made me think of more than anything else was the Black Stallion. Did any of you read those books when you were a kid? Maybe it's a crossover and any minute now, Alec Ramsey will show up and start shouting at Kate to get away from his horse.

Lest I forget, Hurley had a great moment last night, also. He sees more than anyone on the island is willing to give him credit for and he was right on the money asking Jack if he was mad at Sawyer. Of course, Jack couldn't admit that he was, without admitting what Sawyer had said and he'd never do that, so he denies and pretends that he's fine, fine, fine. They might as well just call this island the Isle of Delusion.

Man, I just love this show and episodes like this are the reason why.

Oh I knew the very second the guy in the film said "Don't use the computer to communicate" that was exactly what Michael was doing that very instant. Of course. Is it really Walt? I kind of doubt it. It probably *is* a trap of some sort.

Kate commited premeditated murder. Sure, her victim was a sleazebag, but premeditated murder is *not* a sane response. I've always had a hunch she was a few bricks shy of a load, and now I *know* she is. And as I've said before--gives her a lot in common with little Miss Ana Lucia. They are both slam nuts.

The horse? I knew it was for real--or at least as real as the polar bear. At least as real as anything else on the Island. And I'm beginning to wonder about that. Does the Island really exist? Or are they all hooked up to some sort of machine and being fed some sort of wierd VR dream? Although I'd be disappointed if that turns out to be the answer--it would seem sort of the easy way out.

Hurley has always had more insight than any of them give him credit for. He sees a lot more, for example, than Locke.

I love the show too. It's the first new show in years that I look forward to new episodes.

It's just too bad we have to wait until January for new episodes now. :(

This was my favorite episode this season. I still hate the new chick who shot Shannon, but now, for the first time I am beginning to like Kate! I was stunned by that, but for some reason knowing who she killed and why made her likable for me. What do you suppose that says about me.

I loved the look that Jin and Hurley exchanged when Jin and Sun came out of their tent after their reunion. LOL Way too funny!

I liked Locke and Eko together. All of their scenes were interesting. They are both just mysterious enough and thoughtful enough so that you wonder instantly what they think of each other.

I am not sure if it is Walt taking to Michael but now that Shannon is dead, Walt has to speak to someone doesn't he?

Anyway, I hate that it will be so long before we get anything new. This show is off the air more than it is on.

See, for me, it had just the opposite effect. It confirmed for me that she really is psycho. You don't kill someone just because they're sleazy and you find out you're genetically linked to them. You make an effort to rise above that genetic history and be a better person. I really liked that moment with her dad where he confessed that he hadn't told her the truth because he knew that she would kill Wayne. How difficult it must have been to have a daughter who, every time you look at her, you can see the darkness lurking under the surface, just waiting to explode.

Hurley cracked me up with that sly little thumbs up he gave Jin, lol. I love Hurley!

I think the reason I liked Kate more after I knew her history was I was expecting them to make it a mistake. I thought they would do the good girl wrongly accused thing and I have seen that far too many times. LOL

Hurley needs to be in the show more and so does Jin. (Jin without his shirt.)

Hoo, boy, Jin without his shirt. Mmmmmmm. Very nice. :-) I'm still not sure how I feel about Kate's crime. Still kind of icky about it, like I'm still kind of icky about Ana Lucia's crime - on the one hand you can *sort* of understand it while the rational side of yourself screams out "NO, DON'T DO IT!". Kate irritates me more than she makes me like her, and Jack was doing the same until this ep. I'm thinking maybe Kate's killing her biological father, whom she hated, was sort of like her killing herself, as well, the side of herself she also hated. I dunno. Way too deep for me to figure out with a head cold.

Did anyone see this? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10294957/

When I first saw the headline, before I clicked to it, all I could think was, "Please don't let it be Dom and Evie!" Whew! I'll bet the producers are having a fit about this.

Interesting how it's the newbies getting in trouble. I can see my biases slipping out because I expected it to be a couple of the guys out partying, although none of them have given any reason for me to expect bad things of them. They seem to be a remarkably well-behaved group of stars (except for these two!).

Kate is a twisted, twisted woman, with more issues than People magazine. I think any pairing up she might do on this island would only lead to disaster, as she seems to be attracted to men that have strong associations for her (I don't remember who, but someone pointed out that Jack probably reminds her of the childhood crush, Tom, whom she 'killed' by driving into the police blockade).

I totally agree. I think any relationship with Kate would be a trainwreck waiting to happen.
