I don't want to study any more!

And so I ask myself exactly why I want to go back to school. The answer is... I don't really *want* to be back in school, but I need the fancy degree if I want to get a decent job ever in this life.

*sigh*

Only two more days of studying, and then the test, and then my hijacked brain can return to all the fandom things that make me happy.

*off to bed, perchance to dream of hobbits or stargates or something even more fun*

Good luck! Don't forget to take a break from time to time. Cramming and lack of sleep will not help!

I've been trying to get my studying done early in the evening, so that I have a few hours to watch tv or hang out with my sister, anything other than studying right before bed.

Of course, last night I didn't do as well with that because I was feeling very pressured to get more done, but I still went to bed pretty early. I just really feel like I need to make it all the way through the math stuff, at the very least, because I've forgotten all that I used to know. I did the section on exponents last night, and boy, did I suck! Oh well, two more days and it's all over and done with!

Here's to hobbity dreams!

(You could try to sleep the night before with the books/practice test under your pillow. One of my college roommates always did this the night before a test. She swore she learned stuff through osmosis that way.)

I suppose I could learn through osmosis, if I actually slept, but considering how difficult it is for me to sleep in the first place, I think lumpy books under my pillow might be more detrimental than helpful, lol.

See, I told you the GRE song was catchy. There you go, singing lines from it.

Good luck with the test, and don't make yourself crazy with all the studying. I'm sure you'll do great!

I'll try not to make myself crazy, but it might be too late for that, lol. Maybe I'll just settle for not making myself irreversibly crazy. :)

All along the stargate - hobbits kept the view

I sent a message to Andy this morning in which I suggested to him that perhaps while you and [profile] lyda_pearl are in Mississippi we can collectively author a Dylan parody to rival his own. However, I did warn him that with your participation this might be a Dylan parody with an unusual number of references to hobbits, wizards and starships of various kinds!

It's so sad, I don't *really* know any Dylan songs. I'd be pretty useless in the Dylan parodying, but I make an excellent cheerleader, so I can support you and LP in your efforts. :)

Never fear, I have several CDs and we can play them repeatedly, just as we did Kathe's records in the months before your birth. Given such a high level of prenatal exposure, it is sure to come back to you quickly (even if you feel a sudden, inexplicable urge to refer to yourself as "Joseph" while listening to them.)

Good luck, good luck, good luck with the GRE! I am certain that your inherent star qualities will come shining through!
