Sep. 4th, 2004 12:47 pmI just can't resist playing around with the layout here. I've upgraded to a paid account and now I have so many more options! I'm eager to spend the next few days playing with the look of my journal until I get it just right.
A question for
grey_wonderer. How did you do your background so that your journal scrolls and the picture stays in one place. I would prefer that to having the picture scroll as well, but I can't figure out how to do it.

Date: 2004-09-04 02:12 pm (UTC)Sorry for butting in, but I just spent the last couple of days playing with my LJ too, and wanted to do the same thing. Whether you can get the background to scroll or not depends on the style you're using - it turns out that if you want to use 'generator' style and have a non-scrolling background, you need to use the old system, S1, because you can't do it on S2. I found S1 mega-complicated, so it's easier if you just use another style! I think then you just choose the option on the 'customise' page that says something about background image scrolling and you can choose 'yes' or 'no' - something like that.
But if you like 'generator' best, let me know and I'll give you the override codes that

Date: 2004-09-04 02:26 pm (UTC)I love this background as well. I took this picture on my vacation and have been playing around with it ever since. The only problem is that I have to rename my journal now, cause The Parlor doesn't go very well with a pic of the woods, lol.
