Ya gotta love temperature ranges like this.

Prediction for my town today: Low 5F (-15C), High 7F(-14C)

Yes, that's right, they're estimating a whopping 2 degrees of difference between the hi and low today. Of course, that's beside the point since with windchill it's more like -12F (-24C) anyway.

And just so you understand, on Friday it was about 50F (10C).

On the bright side, we got lots of lovely fresh snow yesterday to cover up the yucky melted stuff from before. It's very pretty here right now. :)

Living in the kind of climate that I do, I'm glad i'm in the US and we use fahrenheit rather than celsius, because seeing all those negative temps would get depressing.

I tend to agree with you, although Celsius has a much more beautiful symmetry to it than farenheit. If it's below freezing, it's negative, above freezing is positive. Simple and clean. However, we're trained to think of negative numbers as really really cold, so it would be hard to wake up to negative numbers every day all winter long, lol.

Lord knows we Americans have to do everything the hard way ;-)

Yeah, I'm coming to have a whole new appreciation for winter in the north country. I don't mind spending one winter up here, but I'll be happy to move back to Pittsburgh or somewhere else a trifle warmer next year.

I will. I'll probably spend more time inside than is strictly good for me, but I'll definitely find ways to keep warm. :)

Oh, those are some nice temperatures for winter indeed. It would be extremely cold if we had that where I live because the wind makes the temparature much colder than the degrees it is. We barely have any snow now, and it has been very warm for January so far.

We had been having a warm spell too, but it seems to be over. It's *cold* out there. It looks like we won't be taking the kids outside today. :(
