progress report

Well, I've done at least a little of what I set out to do today. I bought kitty litter and cat food (both urgently needed). I tidied up my room to the point where it is once again safe to let the dogs in - there's nothing on the floor for them to snorfle up. And I finally (a full week late) got chapter four of 'Luster' off to pipspebble for betaing. Yay!

Now, I just need to get some of my WIPs in hand and finished, because my fingers are itching to work on some other projects. I've started reading SGA fic and I'm in love! Seriously, I love Atlantis so much more than Stargate SG-1 and there's some really entertaining fic out there. And of course, being me, I want to add to it. Of course, I can't do technobabble, action or military stuff, so I'm not sure what that leaves me with, but I want to play around with it and see what I come up with.

Plus, there's a new lj community, called the_recroom and they have a Valentine's Day challenge on. There's a Farscape fic bubbling at the back of my mind, just waiting to be written, if only I can make myself focus a little bit.

Right, I was going to watch Zoolander tonight, but I may just surf around and see if I can find new fic instead. *grins*

YAY! I'm not the only one sucked into the world of SGA! I feel free to post some of my SGA stuff now and not be blasted becuase its not LoTR. Welcome to the insanity!

Two of my stories are at Wraithbait.com, but most of it is just posted to the Yahoo group SHAHC. I think I will put a few of them here, though. Most of them are silly little things, but my two longer ones are over at Wraithbait.

I've never seen Stargate Atlantis. It hasn't been on the telly here (yet). But I can't imagine loving it more than SG-1 (but than again, you never know, lol)

I've watched SG-1 ever since it moved from Showtime to the Sci Fi Channel at the beginning of season 6 (5?) but it's one of those lukewarm passions. I watch it because it's better than not having any scifi to watch, I like the characters and sometimes there's a really good episode. I was really skeptical about having a spin-off and did not exactly embrace Atlantis with open arms. I think I watched every episode of the first half of season one, but I didn't actually make it all the way through a single one, lol. I would have it on and by half way through, my back would be to the tv and I'd be playing on the computer or working on some other project. So I was pretty much ready to write it off and then all of sudden, when the second half of season one rolled around, I was completely hooked. For some reason I think it's more dynamic, I love the characters a lot and they have a pretty cool enemy. I think it's more fun than the original. :)
