Just thought I would check in with an actual post, although there's nothing new here. Winter continues on, cold and dark, although we missed the big snow that people a little further east and south got hit with.

[livejournal.com profile] dreamflower02, I've finally got a good start on that bunny you sent my way for your birthday. Sorry it's taking me so long to get it done, but I haven't forgotten it and I hope to get it done this week.

I'm taking a little break from 'Luster' and 'A Changing of Ways'. I'll get back to them soon, but I'm just not in the right place to be working on them. My imagination is too thoroughly immersed in Stargate Atlantis fic right now. It's difficult, finding room for anything else when in the midst of falling in love with a new fandom. I'll come back to myself in a bit, I'm sure, and until then, I'll just continue to lurk on Wraithbait.

Ah Stargate Atlantis.

Zelenka :-)

Those are some crazy eyeballs there, lol!

Zelenka is pretty cool. I think McKay is my favorite, at least in most fics.

McKay is awesome, a little bit too arrogant for my tastes sometimes but then he comes around in his own unique way. I will LOVE David Hewlett forever in Cube and Cypher (although he is only in Cypher for like what ten minutes) and on that note for introducing me to the wonderful world of Vincenzo Natali films.

[livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic is currently experiencing a giant influx of PostSecret cards that are rather amusing -- someone described them as fic haikus.

If you see anything really good on Wraithbait, please share! I haven't done much searching of it, but I know there is good stuff in there.

I friended [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic after you recced that story from the documentation challenge, so I've been seeing all the post secret cards. They make me realize I haven't been in the fandom that long, although I've been watching the show since the beginning. I've missed a lot of details from the episodes. Now I really want to get season one DVDs but I'll have to wait at least a little longer on that front. *sigh*

I've found a bunch of stuff that I really like over there, so I'll try to come up with a page of recs.

By the way, I really like your rec game, and I've been trying to come up with a story to post for a second round, but apparently I just suck at it. :)

lol, no worries. Actually your BSG rec would work -- it's gen which is the same as round 1, but the other three categories are different. (short, BSG, h/c angst). That is what we would call a "large-temperature jump" in the world of simulated annealing. Since, you know, it is 1-similar-3-different. Whereas 3-similar-1-different would be a small-temperature jump.

Right, I'll be quiet now...

I'll have to go back and re-read the rules of the game; I thought there were supposed to be two similarities.

Of course, I don't have a clue what simulated annealing is, but I get the idea of what you're saying anyway. :)

Good to hear fro you even if things are status quo. I know what you feel about discovering a new fandom. I am testing my fannish interests for HP atm and find that it isn't strong enough for me to actually become fannish about it, but i still like both the books and movies that I have seen and read so far.

I love the HP books and the movies, but I haven't at all been interested in the fandom. I've read a few little fics, but everyone is so ready to slash these little kids and it's very disturbing!

*huggles you back*
