In a last ditch effort to not have to reinstall my Windows, I took the advice of a woman at work and downloaded Ad-aware and Spybot. They both got rid of tons of crap from my computer. So why is it running even slower now than it was before? Clearly, my computer should issue a restraining order against me. If a miracle does not occur and the computer have healed itself by Sat, I will have to do the deed.

On a brighter note, I had a date tonight. As this happens so rarely, it seemed like an announcement of some sort was in order. We went to dinner at a nice Thai place. That's about all. Mr. X was very gentlemanly and begged permission to call me again. It was granted. Now, let's just see if he can come up with something a little more interesting to do for a second date. I suggested rock wall climbing, something I've never done but I think it sounds fun. He didn't seem so keen on that. Okay, fair enough, just make at least part of the evening a little more active than eating, that's all I ask.

Can't think what to suggest on the computer side.

Hurray for Date. Maybe you could suggest a walk or something.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to see what he comes up with. If all he can think of is another dinner, than maybe I can suggest that. :)

Ooh, a date! Nice. The last date I went on was horrendous, lol! But I think a walk sounds nice too.

Good luck with your computer :)

Dates are so dicey, aren't they? My last one was pretty awful, as well. One of those deals where you meet and before the date's even started you find yourself wondering how you're going to get through the evening, lol! But last night was much nicer, thank goodness. Sadly, neither of us is a great conversationalist so there were the obligatory awkward pauses, but hopefully as we get to know each other we'll get more comfortable and find things to talk about.

I'm glad it went well! I know what you mean about that moment when you don't know what you're going to talk about - it's not the most relaxing way to spend an evening, is it? lol. I think your idea of doing something more active is a good idea - it takes the pressure off if you've got something to do.

On my last date (nearly a year ago - it really put me off!) we went out for dinner and didn't have much to say at first, but unfortunately we got onto some controversial political subjects we both had strong opinions on, and it went downhill from there, heh. So sometimes, I guess the less said the better ;)
