We watched The Aviator last night. I really knew absolutely nothing about Howard Hughes other than that he had a relationship with Katherine Hepburn and that he was pretty deaf (info garnered from her autobiography), so the movie was quite an eye opener. It was very moving and sad, which I wasn't expecting, but good. Of course, the main reason we watched it was for Kate research, and I wasn't overly impressed with Cate Blanchett's job. She seemed to be doing a caricature of Kate, rather than actually trying to *be* her, but it might help me at least get the voice and some of her expressions.

Last week it was almost more than I could do to be conscious past working hours, and it seems like this week isn't going to be much different. At least the incipient headache that was threatening me this morning responded well to Advil and mostly went away, despite the loud and almost entirely unmusical instrument playing that went on at work today (gotta love the little dears' enthusiasm, but their skill - not unexpectedly considering their age - is non-existent). One of the kids kept asking me things like, 'why are your eyes closed?' and 'why are you making that face?' I think the face he was referring to might have been one of utter exhaustion, but I'm not sure, since I wasn't even aware of making a face, lol.

One of the little ones has an older brother with Mono. The girl's mom thinks she might have it too, since she's been sick for about two months now and hasn't responded to the meds specifically targeting her cough. If I'd had a fever or other symptoms I'd be stressing about it myself, since work is such a 'share and share alike' environment when it comes to germs. Luckily, I think it's pretty safe to say I'm just tired, not sick.

Hope you feel better soon! *hugs*

What did you think of Ian Holm in The Aviator? He was my favorite part of it, and gave me a giggle more than one :D

I had no idea he was in the movie and all of a sudden I said, "wait a minute, that's Ian Holm!" I loved the scene where Howard Hughes called on him as a mammary specialist, to measure the boobs. The look on his face as he tried to keep up with Howard was priceless!

There were a lot of unexpectedly familiar faces in the movie. At one point, Howard is talking to some Lockheed Exec, and I realized after a while that it was Brent Spiner. In one of the early scenes, Howard goes to a movie premier or something with Jean Harlow and I thought - she looks like Gwen Stefani but it must just be the hair. Nope, it was Gwen. I also got a kick out of Alan Alda as the senator in the Alex Baldwin's poocket. It was a lot of fun finding each familiar face. :)

I hope the exhaustion will pass soon.

*LOL*
Children can be painfully honest :p

The Aviator, eh?
Seems like there is another movie on my "must watch" list.

I'm sure the exhaustion will pass eventually. Sooner would be better, of course, :)

*big hugs*

Try to get some rest dear! I hope you feel better soon and that you only are tired and not sick.

*hugs you back*

Thanks. If I am sick, it's only of the 'get very tired for a few days' variety, so I should be back to normal soon.

Hope it is just you being tired, and not being sick -- being tired is much easier to deal with, after all. *hugs* Hope you get some needed rest.

Haven't seen The Aviator, so I can't comment on that.

At this point, it seems like being sick would be the better option, because then I could go to the doctor and get good drugs and get better, instead of trudging along day after day feeling so blastedly tired, but I'm sure it will get better soon.

*hugs*

Well, either way -- I do hope you're feeling better soon. (Being tired's okay with me, since I have so much free time right now.)

*sends hobbits, as well as hugs*

Once again it seems that you and I must be related! I, too, spent all of last week walking around in a zombie fog. Monday was even worse. Fortunately, I forgot to set the alarm on Monday night and so managed to get in an extra hour of sleep on Tuesday morning. It cost me an hour of work, but it was worth it. This morning, of course, I woke up at 3:00 am again .... It really must be the spring light - because it certainly can't be that I don't need the sleep!

Despite being really tired last night, I slept terribly. I never really settled into a good sleep, waking up every hour or two all night long. No fun. And as you said, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with how much sleep I actually need. There's just some little sensor askew, that keeps telling me to wake up. Stupid sensor!
