10 Simple Pleasures:

1. Snuggling with my cats
2. Smelling the approach of rain
3. Walking in the woods
4. chocolate
5. spending time with friends
6. good movies/tv/music
7. curling up in bed with a good book
8. reading a well-crafted fic
9. spring
10. making one of the kiddies giggle till he/she can't breathe

Okay, so mine are pretty commonplace and probably lacking anything in the way of creativity and originality, but they are things that make me happy.

It sure is a good list. So good that it's hard to imagine anything that might be added. Hmm ... 1) wearing flashing tiaras and being silly with one's sisters; 2) waking up and knowing that you don't have any pressing commitments for the day; 3) dyeing & painting easter eggs; 4)jumping for the fun of it; 5)making up silly songs featuring one's pets' names; 6) amusement parks and county fairs; 8) making snow angels and making snow ice cream (both provided you are not in Mississippi or Texas, of course!); 9) hanging out in a good bookstore; 10) reading the whole Sunday paper in one day.

Ha ha! That is ten more, with no overlap with yours! Amazing. I guess there just really are zillions and zillions of small pleasures in the world.

That's a pretty good list. When I first sat down to do mine, I wasn't sure I could even come up with ten, but there are just so many little things that are fun and make life just that little bit more bearable - like sisters who are willing to do goofy things like wear flashing tiaras.

A lovely list. (Well, except for the cats: I can't do cats -- allergies -- but replacing it with puppies works just fine for me. ;) )
