Having a very hard time focusing, here. Mind keeps drifting off task, easily distracted by every little shiny thing that comes into view...

See, there I go again. Grr! Never gonna get this story into workable shape.

Find music that suits the mood of your piece. I find that if I try and coreagraph (for want of a better word) a scene to music, like putting a television scene to non-diegetic sound, it sometimes helps with the writers block.

I have to be very careful with music when I'm writing. Anything that has lyrics or a beat distracts me, lol. I ended up turning the tv on to a bad scifi movie and letting the sound of that be the background noise. :)

You're welcome, lol. And the story did come, eventually. It's probably not worth much, but that's what beta readers are for, right? Poor piplover can try to sort through the dross and find the few small nuggets that might be worth expanding upon. *hopes that there are at least a few small nuggets worth expanding upon*
