The ranting is all done. Work has settled back down into its usual routine of boring but not infuriating. And there are even moments of cuteness. Got a big, sloppy kiss on the cheek from a new kid who seemed pretty resistant to me on his previous visit, so that was a good moment. Got to play outside in air that felt almost springlike. Another good moment. Had yummy tuna salad for lunch. I'm ignoring the slight dairy ick I'm feeling after having eaten ice cream twice this week, as well as far more cheese than is at all good for me. Thanks to the wonders of Zantac, my stomach is no longer eating itself from the inside out (or if it is, I'm no longer feeling it). Life seems so much better when one is not in pain. I'm having a good day.

And sloppy wet kisses from itty-bitty kids is one of the wonders of the world, right up there with unexpected hugs and pieces of scribbled on paper with the words "I dwew it fo' you!"

Those little bits of paper with scribbled pictures are really just too cute. And 'my' kids are just at that age where they're starting to draw actual things and so when I get a picture it's usually a balloon person with "I *heart* u" on it. So sweet!
