So. Tired.

Tonight was Murder Mystery night. Everything went pretty well. It was a full house and we were able to double the amount of money the Student Senate had raised for a scholarship fund. The 'play' part of the evening went about as well as could be expected, all things considered. There was a lot of laughter and I think everyone had fun. The only downside was that those of us who were a part of the deal weren't allowed to eat, as we were expected to roam around, mingling and chatting with the paying guests. So by the end of the evening I was pretty hungry and beginning to get a little tired of the whole thing.

We got a lot of pictures, which I'll post tomorrow. Now I'm getting into my pjs, crawling into bed and maybe watching a little scifi Friday before passing out.

Oh *Squeee* it all went well in the end then (With the exception of the no eating, wow I would have caved if there was food in the room I couldn't eat)

It was hard to sit at a table and watch the other people at the table obviously enjoying their dinner, but hey, I had candy cigarettes to chew on, lol.

The no-eating part of it seems especially cruel since it sounded like you were led to believe that you, too, would get dinner. If you had known otherwise you would have been able to eat something beforehand. However, I hear that it went great and I can't wait to see how fabulous you and LP looked! BTW, who turned out to be the murderer? It sounds like it wasn't either Kate or Ingrid.

We knew we weren't going to be fed during the play (but that there would be food set aside for us, after), and there was pizza (left over from lunch) in the staging room, which I had a slice of before getting ready, but that was at five-thirty and the play didn't end until nine, so by then, having watched everyone else stuff their faces all evening, I was pretty darn hungry.

It turned out that Gigi, the best friend of the murdered man's wife, was the murderer. She'd been one of his many affairs and did it to get back at the wife (her best friend) for having more than Gigi did.

Sounds like a realistic situation. I just looked at the WDTM photos, you and LP were both stunning (even if you were also starving!)

They did, eventually. It was entirely unclear to me though, why we couldn't just eat with everyone else. There really wasn't any point to it, that I could see. However, when the ladies at my table asked why I wasn't being served, I made up an explanation about the 'Hollywood Diet' I was on, which involves drinking lots of 'tea' (remember this was a speakeasy and all the fake alcohol was served in teacups) and smoking cigarettes. It's how we stars maintain our slender, youthful figures, lol.
