Dear SciFi Channel,

Preparing for a lovely evening of SciFi Friday viewing, I happen to check your schedulebot to find out what lies in store this evening. Imagine my surprise and displeasure to find out that Stargate: Atlantis is not being aired on Friday nights for the foreseeable future. WTF? Just when I think we've rebuilt an open, trusting relationship, you go screwing with my SGA fix. I liked my Fridays just fine the way they were, thank you very much. Please return them to me at your earliest convenience.

I seriously cannot believe that they are airing Off The Grid again. This is the third Friday in a month and a half, tops, that they've played this episode on a Friday night. What is it about this ep that gets the scheduling guys all hot and bothered?

To be fair to Skiffy, they are airing Atlantis on Monday nights in May, four eps back to back, instead of the SG:1 eps they usually air on Mondays, but only in May. In June it looks as though they aren't airing Atlantis at all. :(

I wondered at that. While the second ep of SG-1 was some dandy eye candy, I missed my Carrrrrrrrson fix! Thanks for the tip about Monday airing, tho. Will have to set the VCR for that as baseball season is here and I'll be at the doggone ballpark. You mean we'll have to wait until July for any more Friday SGA???

Now, don't get me wrong, Ben in leather is always a very tasty treat. But that was the third time in eight weeks that they played that same episode. It just seems a little excessive to me.

And it does look like July before we get more good Friday scifi. Bummer. I like the new Doctor Who well enough and SG-1 is okay, but SGA was what I look forward to on Fridays. :(

I've grown quite fond of Doctor Who, and I never watched the original series, though it was definitely "of my time." I adore Rose, and the Doctor's quirky sense of humor is really engaging. I like Ben in leather, too, but I like Ben in leather much better when he's paired with Claudia in leather (throw in Daniel in leather and there's a threesome even *I* could get into, hee, hee!). I do hope they give Carson a little more to do next season, though, in all honesty, I've only seen a handful of eps. Which seasons are out on DVD? May be time for me to invest in a new boxed set.

Well, there was no Claudia in that episode, but Daniel *was* in leather, as was Sam, but somehow Cam/Sam/Daniel just doesn't seem nearly as interesting as Cam/Vala/Daniel. *bad Meeshie, bad*

Season one of Atlantis is out on DVD (I'm waiting eagerly for season two but it might be a while still). Carson isn't a regular character in season one, but he's in a lot of episodes. In fact, he got a whole episode focused on him, called Poisoning the Well. Very nice character piece as well as establishing some of the ethical dilemmas he's been facing in the Pegasus Galaxy (he sometimes seems to have a very passing acquaitance with the Hypocratic Oath).

Well, then, I'll just have to check that out. And you're not so bad. Now that you've planted the Cam/Vala/Daniel vision in my imagination, I'm quite fond of it, as well. ;-)
