Okay, rabbitchild this is the kind of obsessive focussed person I am. The first thing I did when I got home was go through my list of fics until I found one with Frodo putting one of the younger hobbits to sleep. I found it! It was a little piece of fluff appropriately entitled "Fluff" due to the fact that I couldn't think of a name for the dratted thing. Merry is up in the night and Frodo makes him a snack and puts him back to bed. I wrote it as part of the recovery process after writing another fic, Waves, which dealt with Merry's death.

Scary, huh?

I was beginning to think you'd imagined the whole thing, too. I could not for the life of me remember writing a fic with Frodo putting a young Merry or Pippin to bed. And then it was a bit of a Homer moment, 'd'oh! Of course, the little fluff piece!' Lol!
