Angry spam 2

Okay, this spam isn't really angry, just a little on the frazzled side. Thanks to everyone asking if there was going to be angry spam 2, 3, etc, I got a little giggle which is helping me through the day.

Because we were short on teachers and the people that were sent to sub in our room didn't know the kids and vice versa, there was a lot of crying and neediness among the little ones. This was exacerbated by the fact that we are stuck inside due to the incessant rain. Ivan has a very long arm, curse him!

They are all asleep now, and I'm able to take a break and relax for a bit, thank goodness. It's Friday and they usually all go home pretty early on Friday so the afternoon won't be as bad as the morning.

Sadly, I'm committed to babysitting tonight and tomorrow night, so I won't get as much break as I would like this weekend. It's all to the good, though. Extra money and all that, lol.

Ivan does have a long, nasty arm. We caught our worst part of it yesterday afternoon and evening. Trees down all over the place, luckily only branches down in my yard, but the rest of the neighborhood is a royal mess. Cable (and, thus, internet) went out around 6:30, leaving us without any updates and unaware of anything except transformers popping out all over the place, sounding like firecrackers going off on the 4th of July. Schools are closed here today, so The Teenager and The WannabeTeenager are at home today without cable but with Nintendo and Sega and DVDs galore. Me, I was happy, for once, to escape to Mordor. At least the little ones take a nap. All mine do is bitch. And bitch. And bitch. So I came on in to work, started up the media player and found peace in all three LOTR soundtracks. I'd jump out the window some days if it weren't for Mr. Shore. Here's hoping things get better for you. And, in the meantime, here's a hug from me. ((Auntie)) There. Feel better? :-)

We've just had heavy rain all day with a bit of gusty wind. A lot of roads were flooded and several of the major highways and roads had to be closed this afternoon. I think the power must have gone off at some point because the computer was off when I got home.

Thanks for the hugs. I do feel much better. Some day I will learn how to deal with shit without bitching about it, but until then I'm grateful that I have friends around to help me along.
