Lazy Sunday
Oct. 4th, 2009 08:41 pmI suppose I could have been lazier today, if I'd worked at it. I did do some laundry and changed the sheets on the bed, and I even washed a few dishes and made some supper on the stove. Hm, perhaps I failed at ultimate laziness.
Still, it was a very relaxing day. I watched the tv shows I missed on Friday, started season two of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, and realized that I will never be able to watch the final six or so episodes of Moonlight, due to a strong aversion to crappy plotting and acting. I'm giving some thought to watching the first episode of Three Rivers tonight, since it's set in Pittsburgh and all. But it's the guy from Moonlight, who is the main reason I can't watch the last episodes of that show.
I played around with my dream inspired story idea a little bit, and then realized the mechanisms I wanted to use bore a rather strong resemblence to Doctor Who's "Girl in the Fireplace" and the plot was rather too reminiscent of To Say Nothing of the Dog. It's not entirely the same, and I haven't entirely discarded the idea of working on it, but it was kind of a downer to realize my ideas were rather less than original. Still, working on anything is better than working on nothing.
