Hey look, it's Tuesday!
Nov. 24th, 2009 09:01 amI've been completely engrossed in SGA BigBang stories, but I've finally finished most of the ones I really wanted to read and the rest aren't calling my name. Time to return to the real world, I guess.
Yesterday was crazy. Short staffed at work, plagued by nausea, headache and excessive tiredness, I ended up having to stay late. Yuck. I'm hoping today will be better. At least in the sense that maybe I won't feel like puking. That would be nice. Short week though. Tomorrow we close early, then I have both Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving, so it makes for a nice, long weekend.
I did at least manage to get to the gym yesterday, and did a slow three miles. Probably didn't help the yuckiness, but it still felt good to do.
There was a hockey game last night (when is there not hockey?) and it was a very tense, exciting game. Penguins against the Florida Panthers. When we last faced them, in October, it was here in Pgh, and it was an equally tense, exciting game. In fact, this game followed the last one almost to a T. We entered the third period 0-2, facing a shut-out. A lot of hard work and sticking to the plan led to the Pens tying the game and heading into overtime. Last game, we went to a shoot-out, this time we managed to find that third goal three minutes into the overtime. Pens won 3-2. Woot!
