Today's the test. The plumbers had to get one last part put in this morning, and at some point today (hopefully early) the gas company will come back out, test the new pipes and turn the gas back on. I'm feeling hopeful that by the time I get home from work, the apartment will be toasty warm, I'll have plenty of hot water to wallow in, and an oven to cook with.

Thank goodness it warmed up into the mid-fifties yesterday because last night was so much less awful the previous ones. I was actually a little too warm in my nest o'coziness and had to take off a couple of layers. It's a good time to restore the heat, however, since it's now snowing and not likely to get out of the thirties again. Oh, winter.

(no subject)

Yay heat! My apartment feels so warm and cozy and welcoming this evening. I should have cooked, since the stove is hooked up again, but I'm allowing myself one last delivered meal. I feel completely exhausted, like I haven't slept in a week, and when I get like this I start feeling nauseated and yucky. I'd rather sit and wait an hour for food to be delivered, rather than try to function in the kitchen when I feel this awful. I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of sleeping in this weekend.
