The corset
Aug. 22nd, 2014 10:24 pmThe shell took all day Friday, sans shoulder straps. I didn't work on it at all on Saturday and Sunday, as I was working on the mask. Worked on the lining for about eight hours between Monday and Tuesday, got the boning in on Wednesday, mostly put the lining and the shell together yesterday and finished the slip stitching today. That makes about 25 hours put into the corset alone. Yikes! But it's done. And now I'm taking the rest of tonight off because I'm much too tired to start anything new.
To do for the weekend:
*Paint headpiece
*alter pattern for coat
*cut fabric for coat
It doesn't seem like a lot but if I can get that much done over the weekend, I should be able to do the sewing after work next week and have all the big things done before leaving on Thursday morning. That would be so nice.
