Heartburn hell
Dec. 8th, 2014 08:05 pmI've been taking Flonase for my seasonal allergies and I thought that was what was causing the hellish heartburn/reflux and nausea. So I didn't take it yesterday or today, which allowed me to conclude, nope, it's probably the multivitamin that is making me miserable. The good news is that I can just stop taking the vitamin (although I will have to pick up a bottle of vitamin D supplements). The down side is that I feel the vitamins have absolutely torn my stomach up. It started out as just nausea when I took it on an empty stomach and then engaged in vigorous walking. It's gotten progressively worse till today, when nothing I did brought any relief for more than an hour or so. Long day. I took some Zantac as soon as I got home, so I'm hoping that will help.
On a brighter note, I was thinking I perhaps needed to update the cats' toy collection, so I bought them a laser pointer on the way home from work tonight. Zoe and Mal were over the moon. Mal usually defers to Zoe as soon as she shows any interest in a toy he wants to play with, but they were both racing all around the apartment trying to catch that little spot of light. Kai Ram was not so impressed. At first he actively shied away from it, then cautiously tapped at it when the light was right at his paws, but he has, to this point, showed absolutely zero interest in chasing it. He has, however, gone off and found an old toy with a jingle bell in it to bat about the apartment, so he's happy too.
