I've been taking Flonase for my seasonal allergies and I thought that was what was causing the hellish heartburn/reflux and nausea. So I didn't take it yesterday or today, which allowed me to conclude, nope, it's probably the multivitamin that is making me miserable. The good news is that I can just stop taking the vitamin (although I will have to pick up a bottle of vitamin D supplements). The down side is that I feel the vitamins have absolutely torn my stomach up. It started out as just nausea when I took it on an empty stomach and then engaged in vigorous walking. It's gotten progressively worse till today, when nothing I did brought any relief for more than an hour or so. Long day. I took some Zantac as soon as I got home, so I'm hoping that will help.

On a brighter note, I was thinking I perhaps needed to update the cats' toy collection, so I bought them a laser pointer on the way home from work tonight. Zoe and Mal were over the moon. Mal usually defers to Zoe as soon as she shows any interest in a toy he wants to play with, but they were both racing all around the apartment trying to catch that little spot of light. Kai Ram was not so impressed. At first he actively shied away from it, then cautiously tapped at it when the light was right at his paws, but he has, to this point, showed absolutely zero interest in chasing it. He has, however, gone off and found an old toy with a jingle bell in it to bat about the apartment, so he's happy too.

yay for laser pointers!

And yeah, multivitamins can be horrible on an empty stomach. I would definitely believe those are what are making you feel icky. It's hard to do a morning vitamin when you don't eat much breakfast. Maybe try switching the vitamin to being taken at dinnertime?

I might try that, but I'm going to take a couple days off it first, so my tummy can heal a little bit. I've been forcing myself to at least eat a couple slices of toast before taking the multivitamin, and that seemed to be enough for a while, but apparently no longer.

I played with the cats for a little while with the laser then put it away so I wouldn't exhaust the batteries on the very first go. And then Mal started lurking around, crying and acting all pathetic. I pulled the laser back out and zoom! off he goes. He hasn't moved like that in years. This may be the best thing that's ever happened to him, lol.

Once my stomach healed up some, I restarted the Flonase. Nope, not a good thing at all. Yesterday was hell. Looks like I'll just have to lack vitamins and be allergy clogged all the time.

Yikes! And everybody thinks everyone should take multivitamins. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Love that Mal is having so much fun with the laser pointer. It's great to see them acting like crazy kittens again - for just a little while.

I've been exercising them for at least a few minutes every day and they love it. Although they have started crying for me to come play with them at inopportune times, like after I've gone to bed, lol.
