Jan. 24th, 2015 03:05 pmIt's such a rare gift, to have a Zoe cat snuggled up in my lap. I treasure every single one of the handful of times it's happened. She'll sit or prowl about on my shoulders a couple times a week, especially when I'm wearing a particular hoody that she loves, but she almost never curls up in my lap.
Today, she started out on my spare pillow, but as soon as I acknowledged her she took off. This afternoon, she was hanging out beside me on the sofa and then spent the better part of two hours slowly getting closer and closer, crawling under the afghan I had draped over my lap and hanging out under my tented knees. But just now she finally pushed her way into my lap and just sat, for about two minutes, until I moved ever so slightly and she took off again. I really do love that girl.
This pic is a year old, but just at look at her. Who could resist?

And now the moment is over. She is once again wreaking havoc in the apartment in an attempt to convince me that I should move dinner up by a couple of hours. Ah well, I take my moments when I can get 'em.
