While there is nothing I can do for the coffee urges at the moment, I'm conducting a chocolate-based dessert experiment.

I have a brownie mix packet, but no eggs, and my oven doesn't currently work. I have, however, a crockpot. I have also heard (from a dad whose child was allergic to eggs) that you can substitute applesauce for eggs in cake-like recipes. So, I've mixed up the brownies, added an extra bit of applesauce for moisture so they don't dry out, and thrown the whole mess into the crockpot. I'm now letting it cook for a few hours and I'll soon know whether this experiment was worthwhile or not.

In the meantime I'll continue having choco-flavored fantasies. I also offer you a poll.

Should I take that as a nudge? :)

I'd especially like a gourmet dinner, followed by coffe and a chocolate dessert, with someone that leads to mind-blowing sex. Hike in the woods optional.

Aside from that, an air-conditioner.

I look forward to hearing how the brownies turned out! Brown mush mayhaps? Even that would be pretty tasty, I think! Last evening I wanted something chocolate but did not want to turn on the oven and deal with either the heat it would produce or the inevitable smoke-detector noises. So I made a version of chocolate-oatmeal no-bake cookies: you just mix cocoa, butter, milk, sugar and peanut butter up in a sauce pan and cook it over medium heat until it boils, then boil it for a minute, take it off the heat, stir in the oatmeal and drop teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper covered cookie sheets. Mine turned out a little sticky but majorly yummy.

The brownie experiment was a pseudo-success. They taste very brownie-like, but they have an odd, not entirely pleasant, aftertaste and I'm not sure where that's coming from. *pouts*

Your no-bake cookies sound absolutely delicious. I'm going to have to bookmark this comment so I can find it again once I have all those ingredients gathered together. :D

It that case, here's a more precise recipe I'll also post it to WDTM):
1 1/2 - 2 C sugar (the recipe I used called for 2 cups, but that makes them too sweet to my taste)
3 Tbsp cocoa (unsweetened)
4 Tbsp butter or margarine (1/2 stick)
2 Tbsp peanut butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla (I forgot to add this, but they still taste fine!)
3 Cup quick rolled oats

Mix sugar, cocoa, butter, peanut butter and milk together in a medium saucepan. Stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Allow to boil for one minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Stir in oatmeal until well-mixed, drop by teaspoonfulls onto waxed paper lined cookie sheets. Refrigerate if too sticky.

I believe I have just skewed your poll results by choosing five things to crave. Some year, I will again be able to have a strawberry margarita. (Virgin margaritas are tasteless. Apparently, it's the tequila that makes it good.)

Some year, my feet will fit in cute shoes again. (Getting closer!) Hiking in the woods/fields/mountains would be fun, as long as this scenery also includes a lake. I am all for someone cooking me a gourmet meal.

And, someone actually did take my hint about how good those raspberries my mom brought would taste on top of ice cream and a chocolate cake...[thanks, mom]...so I may have to have a snack now.

I'm never able to really crave just one thing at a time. But I had coffee and chocolate today, so things are going well.

mmmm, raspberries with ice cream and chocolate cake - that sounds to die for!
